Deadline: 30-November-2025
The Sustainable Research and Consultancy Ltd. Invites student and early career professionals to submit concise, action-orientated work addressing real sustainability challenges in Bangladesh.
The SRCL Youth Sustainability Challenge focuses on a wide range of sustainability themes that address some of Bangladesh’s most pressing environmental and developmental issues.
The SRCL Youth Sustainability Challenge aims to nurture innovation, responsibility, and environmental leadership among Bangladesh’s youth, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to a sustainable future.
These include Air Quality and Low-Cost Monitoring, Plastic and Packaging Circularity, Water and Sanitation, Climate Adaptation covering flood and heat risk along with early warning systems, Low Carbon Mobility, Sustainable Agriculture, Capacity Building, Green Finance, and Carbon Footprint reduction.
Participants can submit entries based on their educational level: school students write short essays on reducing plastic use, saving electricity, or conserving water; college students focus on minimizing food waste, affordable energy-saving methods, or starting sustainability clubs; and university students, early professionals, and researchers can choose to submit an Idea Pitch, Research Proposal, or Before/After Photo Essay highlighting innovative solutions, research-based approaches, or real-life environmental improvements.
The competition ensures transparency and fairness through a structured selection process. After online submissions, entries are screened for eligibility, completeness, originality, and AI use disclosure.
The top eight finalists, two from each category, are invited to present their ideas live before a panel, where winners are selected. Participants receive expert feedback, with results announced at the online finale. Prizes and recognitions for winners and finalists will be announced soon.
Eligibility rules specify that only individual submissions are accepted, and each participant may apply once under one category. Entries must be original, properly cited, and within the given word limits. AI tools may be used only for brainstorming, not content generation.
The competition also emphasizes ethical conduct, requiring respectful and safe content while ensuring that intellectual property remains with the participant. By entering, participants grant SRCL non-exclusive rights to showcase their work with credit and consent to the use of their name or photo for event publicity. For school entrants, parental or guardian consent is required.
To register, applicants must select their appropriate category, choose a topic, prepare a single PDF submission including references, and submit it online using the provided form.
