Deadline: 16-February-2026
The One Young World is requesting applications for its NewNow Emerging Young Leaders Program to empower and redefine change through systems-thinking and collective action.
The NewNow brings together these visionary individuals to harness their collective strength and shared learning. Guided by the mentorship and insights of leaders before them, they strive to reshape the narrative of their generation and influence the future for those yet to come.
Through collaboration and knowledge exchange, the initiative empowers young changemakers to address some of the world’s most complex challenges with innovative and sustainable solutions.
The program seeks ten of the most trailblazing and impactful leaders from the Global South who demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to creating systemic change.
Selected leaders will receive a scholarship to attend the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, 2026, along with lifelong membership in the One Young World Ambassador Community.
They will also be featured on One Young World and Virgin Unite channels, gaining visibility among the global community of young leaders. The program offers access to the One Young World Global Leadership Programme and Action Accelerator, as well as membership in The NewNow Community.
Through exclusive capacity-building workshops, participants will enhance their confidence, skills, and influence as systems leaders, while collaborating with fellow NewNow leaders on joint projects and advocacy initiatives.
Eligible candidates must be aged between 18 and 30, be nationals of countries in the Global South, and possess a proven track record of leadership through real and impactful initiatives.
They should showcase strong comprehension of key local and global issues that require systems-thinking approaches, provide evidence of long-term and sustainable impact and be willing to collaborate with the NewNow cohort to promote successful systems change through their networks and media opportunities.
