The Louisville Cultural Council (LCC) is offering Art Grants to artists and arts organizations serving the Louisville community. The art grant program provides financial and facility support to projects which utilize the arts as their primary means of expression.
In awarding these grants, the Louisville Cultural Council seeks to further their mission of engaging diverse social, cultural, and creative community. Diversity of media and creative artistic expression is encouraged.
Grants for performances and other public project have been altered to support socially-distanced arts opportunities for Louisville residents. Grants are also available to support the professional development and artistic enrichment of artists serving the Louisville community.
Grant Categories
- Category 1: Arts Project Grants;
- Category 2: Artist Enrichment Grants.

- Funding: Applicants may request up to $1,500 in funding.
Eligibility Criteria
- Category 1: Arts Project Grants
- Any individual or organization may apply. Organizations do not need to have 501c(3) status to apply.
- Special consideration will be given to artists and organizations based in Louisville, CO.
- All projects must take place between May 1, 2021 and July 31, 2022.
- The application must be received by 5pm on Friday, February 12, 2021
- Programs must primarily focus on artistic expression or arts education.
- In-person performances or projects must take place in Louisville, Colorado.
- Online or virtual performances or projects must be specifically targeted at Louisville residents. For projects with limited audience size, special consideration must be given to ensure Louisville residents have access to registration spots.
- Category 2: Artist Enrichment Grants
- Any individual or organization may apply. Organizations do not need to have 501c(3) status to apply.
- Special consideration will be given to artists and organizations based in Louisville, CO.
- All projects must take place between May 1, 2021 and July 31, 2022.
- The application must be received by 5pm on Friday, February 12, 2021.
- Funding may support the artist’s professional development or be utilized to purchase materials that will help with the creation of future projects. Examples may include enrolling in a class, purchasing new equipment, or investing in technology that will enable the artist to present their art in accordance with current public health guidelines.
- Artists must demonstrate their connection to the Louisville community. For example, an artist may be a Louisville resident or demonstrate a history of past arts activities in Louisville.
Application Submission
- All grant applications must be submitted via the online form.
- Before you begin the application:

- They recommend typing out your answers in advance and copying and pasting your answers into the online form.
- Please note that the online form has limited formatting, so please type using plain text, without bold, underline, bullets, etc.
- Download, fill in and save the Art Grant Budget Template.
- Total project expenses must equal total project income.
- Maximum grant request is $1,500.
- Prepare supporting documents (optional).
- The online form will allow users to upload up to 5 supporting documents (up to 5mb each) such as photos of previous work, artist bios, etc. that may be helpful in understanding your project or organization.
