The Woodford County Community Fund seeks applications for grants that stimulate and support innovative projects, programs, or partnerships that contribute to enhancing diverse components of the quality of life in Woodford County.
WCCF will award grants to support ideas arising from a recent survey of Woodford County residents. Successful proposals will address community needs through projects and programs that demonstrate sustainable impact and measurable outcomes.
Areas of Interest
While grant applications covering any topic will be considered, areas of interest highlighted from the 2021 survey are:
- Innovative projects in the small communities in Woodford County
- Expansion of the diversity of recreational facilities and programs in community parks
- Increased access and connectivity through walking and biking trails
- Teen focused entertainment choices
Funding Information
- Grant awards will be up to $2,500 depending on the availability of funds.
- Grant Period: January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022.
Eligibility Criteria
- Tax-exempt charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, schools, and government agencies
- Individuals or for-profit entities that have established a partnership with a qualifying tax-exempt organization, school, or government agency that will serve as fiscal sponsor for this grant application
- Applicant organization must be located in or serve residents of Woodford County
- Organization has a GuideStar Seal of Transparency at the Silver level or higher. GuideStar.org a national database of nonprofits recognized as 501(c)(3) organizations by the IRS. Organizations have free access to their profile on the site and can provide added information to increase the level of Transparency.
