The Bristol City Council’s 2022-2023 Originators Fund is now open to offer grants to Bristol-based individuals or organisations to run events, arts and cultural activities that take place within one year.
Aims
- Develop Bristol’s reputation as one of the UK’s leading cultural cities for new ideas, creativity, DIY culture and grass roots engagement.
- Advance diversity and equality in arts and culture in relation to the people making it, watching it and taking part in it.
- Enable arts and cultural activity which is Empowering and Caring, Fair and Inclusive, and/or supports Wellbeing
Funding Information
Applications can be for £500 to £5,000 for events, arts and cultural activities taking place in Bristol between May 2022 and April 2023.
Eligibility Criteria

You can only apply for Originators Fund if:
- You are based in the Bristol City Council local authority area
- Arts, events and cultural activities are the focus of your application

And if you are any of the following:
- A formal organisation e.g. Registered Charity or Community Interest Company
- A non-affiliated organisation e.g. Community group, collective or organisations who do not have a formal constitution.
- You are an individual who is 18 years old or over
