Applications are now open for State Government Victoria’s Education Week 2022 Program. The opportunity is for all primary and secondary schools, higher education providers, and early childhood education and care services to commemorate the past, celebrate the present, and imagine the future of education in Victoria.
Theme
- This year, Victoria celebrates the 150th year of public education, so it is fitting that the theme for Education Week 2022 is 150 Years of Public Education.
- Education Week 2022 activities and celebrations will commemorate the past, celebrate the present and imagine the future of education.
Activity
- Organisations applying for a grant must demonstrate how the proposed activity will relate to and focus on the theme 150 Years of Public Education.
- Activities can focus on all aspects of public education in Victoria, at all stages in the history.
- Education Week grants in previous years have supported a diverse range of activities including: community showcases; film screenings; art, sporting and academic workshops; exhibition and tours; music and theatre performances; and talks from authors, community leaders and notable speakers.
Funding Information
- Small grants of up to $2000 are available to assist eligible not-for-profit organisations an non-commercial community organisation such as a local government entities to host COVIDSafe activities for schools during Education Week 2022.
Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for an Education Week 2022 activity grant, an organisation/association must have not-for-profit status or be a non-commercial community organisation, such as a localgovernment entity.
- Applicants must not already be funded by DET, and schools are not eligible to apply for a grant, even if a proposed activity will be open to other schools to attend.
- Grant applicants must hold sufficient public liability insurance to cover the operational risks of the organisation.
