The District of Columbia Department of Employment Services (DOES), through its Office of Apprenticeship, Information, and Training (OAIT), is accepting applications for the 2022 Out-of-School Youth Focused Youth Apprenticeship Program.
To support the expansion of current Youth Apprenticeship Programs or the development of new Youth Apprenticeship Programs, funds within this RFA are available to primarily support workforce training costs related to the following apprenticeship functions: On-the-Job Training (OJT), On-the-Job Learning (OJL), and related technical instruction (RTI).
Funding Information
- The total amount of funds DOES anticipates being available for award is $200,000.00.
- The 2022 Out-of-School Youth Focused Youth Apprenticeship Program will operate from the date of award through 12 months thereafter.
Eligibility Criteria
Organizations that are eligible to apply for this grant include public and private non-profits and for-profit organizations with demonstrated effectiveness providing the requested services and meeting the needs of the target population, including:
- Non-profit, community, or faith-based organizations;
- Community colleges or other postsecondary institutions;
- Public, charter, or alternative secondary schools;
- Trade associations or chambers of commerce;
- Private, for-profit service providers; or
- Labor unions, labor-management partnerships, or registered apprenticeship programs;
- Must have a registered apprenticeship program or have partnerships with other registered apprenticeship programs.
