The LANL Foundation is pleased to launch its grant program to support programs, projects, or organizations working in one or more of the LANL Foundation Strategic Focus Areas:
- Community Capacity Building: Build capacity and resilient community infrastructure by nurturing discourse through strategic partnerships relationships, and learning which ensures community members of all ages have the resources to actively engage within community.
- College, Career & Community Pathways: Strengthen works by schools, districts, higher education institutions, Tribal nations and other government entities, business, unions and non-profits to provide students and young adults with equitable access to effective college and career preparation programs, experiences and supports so they can pursue their interests, build their skills, contribute positively to their communities and thrive.
- Growing and Supporting Teachers & Educational Leaders: Grow and support K12 educational leaders and teachers in the seven-county area through high quality, effective professional development opportunities and programs that influence teacher retention and recruitment.
- Whole Child Development: Increase K-12 student access to robust opportunities to learn in environments that are responsive to learners' needs and interests, particularly in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), neuro-sequential learning, and trauma informed instruction practices.
- STEAM: Strengthen K-12 school and district systems, teacher preparation and professional development so that all children, educators, and leaders have increased access to strong career patheay especially in STEAM.
Funding Information
Grant recipients have one full year to spend the $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The LANL Foundation’s Outreach Grants are open to school districts, nonprofit New Mexico educational institutions, IRS-qualified 501(c)3 organizations, government agencies, Pueblos, tribal communities, and Nations serving Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Taos counties.
- NOTE: There is one application, and your eligibility for consideration under Education or Community Outreach will be determined by your age group(s) served.
