“la Caixa” Foundation is offering grants entitled “2022 Social Call in Cantabria”.
The goal of this call is to collaborate with non-profit organisations that are working on projects in Cantabria to promote initiatives that are specifically aimed at people who are in vulnerable social situations in order to give them better quality of life and promote equal opportunities.
The main objective of the call is to facilitate support for projects related to the promotion of personal autonomy, care for ageing, disability and illness; care for children, youth and their families, as well as people in a situation of social exclusion. It also wants to promote actions for socio-labour insertion, the prevention of violence and addictions, as well as promoting intercultural citizen coexistence and social cohesion.
Scope of Action
The call includes six fields of action:
- Elderly people and the challenges of ageing
- People with functional diversity or mental disorders
- Humanising health
- Fighting against poverty and social exclusion
- Social and workplace inclusion
- Interculturality and social action
Funding Information
- Projects submitted to this call may apply for grants for an amount of up to 50.000 €.
- The amount requested must be linked to the execution of a project with a duration of quested must be linked to the execution of a project with a duration of up to 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- The entities that can present themselves to the call are:
- Non-profit entities
- Entities of the social economy that, among the purposes indicated in their statutes, state explicitly as its main objective the social interest or social cohesion
- Public administrations are excluded from this call.
- The requirements for entities are:
- Be domiciled in Cantabria.
- Be registered in the corresponding administrative registry.
- Have your own NIF.
- Have statutes and a minimum age of 1 year of activity, since its constitution.
- In the case of the delegations of a parent entity, they may be presented independently, provided that they prove their formal, functional and organic autonomy:
- Be recognized by the parent entity and have a minimum operating age as a one-year delegation.
- Have autonomous operation with respect to the parent entity, with its own structure and own governing body.
- Have its own budget, differentiated from the parent entity.
- The minimum territorial unit for delegations is the municipal level.
General Conditions
- Entities and delegations that submit projects to this call must develop them in Cantabria.
- Entities and delegations with a valid agreement may apply for this call.
- To present a project in this call, entities and delegations with projects selected in 2021 calls must justify having made an expense equivalent to 50% of the aid and present a report on the status of the project. This economic justification and the report must be submitted at the time of making the request for aid, through the application of calls.
- Entities and delegations with projects selected in social calls of the ”la Caixa” Foundation prior to 2021 must have approved the justifications for the aid granted.
- Each entity or delegation may only submit one project to this call.
- In the global calls for 2022, each entity or delegation may present a maximum of two projects, one in this call and another in the state call for Action society in rural areas. If the entity presents two projects in the overall calls of 2022, once one of the projects is selected, the one that has been presented later will be rejected.
- If the entity collaborates in this community with a social program of the ”la Caixa” Foundation, the project presented in this call must be different in content, in recipients and/or in the territory to the project carried out for said program.
- All the conditions included in this section will also apply to entities that are organically or functionally related to each other.
- The fact of submitting to this call implies that these bases are accepted. The final interpretation of the requirements and the clauses of these bases are exclusively of the “la Caixa” Foundation.
