The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) is seeking applications for the 2022 Transitional Housing Assistance Grants for Victims of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking Solicitation.
Purpose Areas
- Transitional housing, including funding for the operating expenses of newly developed or existing transitional housing
- short-term housing assistance, including rental or utilities payments assistance and assistance with related expenses such as payment of security deposits and other costs incidental to relocation to transitional housing; and
- support services designed to enable a minor, an adult, or a dependent of such minor or adult, who is fleeing a situation of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking to,
- locate and secure permanent housing;
- secure employment, including obtaining employment counseling, occupational training, job retention counseling, and counseling concerning re-entry into the workforce; and
- integrate into a community by providing that minor, adult, or dependent with services, such as transportation, counseling, childcare services, case management, and other assistance. Participation in the support services shall be voluntary

- Advance racial equity as an essential component of ending sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking
- Expand economic justice and financial advocacy for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, including as a tool for violence prevention.
- Increase the response to sex trafficking
- Projects primarily serving underserved populations

- This program typically makes awards in the range of $300,000.00 – $500,000.00. OVW estimates that it will make up to 75 awards for an estimated $37,000,000.00.
