The Digital Defenders Partnership (DDP) is currently inviting organizations, networks or collectives from Latin America and the Caribbean to apply for projects for the Regional Alliance Fund.
Funding Information
- Grants of up to €35,000.00 to cover activities for a maximum period of one year (2023-2024).
Eligible Countries
The Regional Alliance Fund is open to the following countries in Latin America and Caribbean:
- Argentina
- Bolivia
- Brazil
- Chile
- Colombia
- Costa Rica
- Cuba
- Ecuador
- El Salvador
- Guatemala
- Guyana
- Haiti
- Honduras
- Mexico
- Nicaragua
- Panama
- Paraguay
- Peru
- Dominican Republic
- Suriname
- Trinidad and Tobago
- Uruguay
Eligibility Criteria
- The Regional Alliance Fund (RPF) will support projects of organizations, networks or groups that work for digital and technological rights in the Latin American region.
- Organizations, collectives or networks are specifically encouraged to apply whose beneficiaries are part of the DDP priority groups:
- Women human rights defenders facing digital risks or attacks.
- Internet users who are blocked or censored on the Internet.
- Human rights defenders, civil society and high-risk persecuted communities.
- Local and regional digital and holistic security organizations and initiatives.
- Local and regional organizations and initiatives focused on Internet access, anti-censorship and free and secure infrastructures.
- Regional organizations complement the work of the DDP.
