The Minority Rights Group is accepting applications from women’s rights and gender equity organizations based in Egypt for Advocacy Grants to amplify voices and increase attention toward the situation of religious, ethnic and gender/sexual minorities in Egypt.
The grants aim to enhance advocacy efforts for digital, national, and international forms of advocacy.
This initiative encourages collaboration between diverse organizations and individuals to address social inequalities, enhance advocacy efforts, and amplify underrepresented voices.
Funding Information
- For organizations: 7000 euros
- For initiatives and small groups: 4000 euros

Duration
- The duration of the grant may last up to 6 months and must be completed before 15/11/2025.
Eligible Activities
- Examples of activities this grant will cover:
- Advocacy for minority rights through digital, national, or international initiatives.
- Public awareness campaigns using media and other outreach efforts to engage the wider public.
- Documentation, monitoring, and reporting on issues affecting minority communities.
- Data-driven approaches to strengthen advocacy efforts and measure project impact.
Eligibility Criteria
- Women’s rights and gender equity civil society organizations (CSOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), small initiatives or advocacy groups. Other human rights organizations are welcome to apply, but please note the priority will be to women’s rights and gender equity CSOs and initiatives. Women-led NGOs and CBOs, and those managed by women from religious/ethnic minority groups as well as members of gender and sexual minorities will be prioritized.
- Organizations must be based in Egypt.
- Organizations must be able to receive funding, either through their own organization or an agreed-upon alternative arrangement that aligns with the approved protocol.
- Must have noticeable experience in financial and narrative reports development and M&E.
