Applications are now open for the Support Afro-Latina Jefas Grant powered by #WeAllGrow + Support Latino Business is an effort to amplify and support Afro-Latina small business owners in celebration of the one-year anniversary of the #WeAllGrow Afro-Latinx Founders Directory.
In addition to this, all eligible applicants will be featured in the #WeAllGrow Afro-Latinx Founders Directory and The Support Latino Business Directory, which are two free online directories that connect and amplify small businesses.
The goal is to create a circular economy where they are buying from and supporting amigas in the community.
Funding Information
- #WeAllGrow and Support Latino will support this by providing a $5,000 grant to two Afro-Latina small business owners ($2,500 each) to uplift and scale their business.
- #WeAllGrow and Support Latino Business teams will evaluate all eligible submissions and choose two grant winners ($2,500 each).
- Each winner will receive a $2,500 grant check in the mail from Support Latino Business the week of September 6th to use for their business goals.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to enter a business you must:
- Have at least one Afro-Latina founder
- Be a legal U.S. for-profit business
- Have been in business for at least one year
- Be at least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the United States (including the District of Columbia and U.S. territories)
