The Third Sector Dumfries & Galloway is now inviting applications for its Alpha Solway Community Fund to support small grassroots organizations working at the community level in Dumfries and Galloway.
The Community Benefit Small Grant Scheme has been developed through a partnership approach consisting of representatives from Dumfries and Galloway Council, NHS Dumfries and Galloway, Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway and Alpha Solway.
Funding Information
- There is a total of £35,525 in the fund.
- Applicants may apply for funding up to and including a maximum of £5,000.
Fund Outcomes
- The fund is looking for applications that will deliver at least one of the following outcomes:
- The improved physical well-being of young people aged 16 and under
- The improved physical well-being of older people aged 60 and over
- The improved emotional well-being of young people aged 16 and under
- The improved emotional well-being of older people aged 60
- Reduced food poverty for older people aged 60
- Reduced food poverty for young people aged 16 and under and their families.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following groups/organizations are eligible to apply:
- Third Sector Organisations
- Constituted Community Groups
- Amateur Sports Clubs
- Not for Profit Social Enterprises.
Criteria
- The following groups/organizations/projects will not be supported:
- Projects/activities which do not demonstrate connectivity to one or more of the outcomes highlighted
- Projects/activities that take place outside Dumfries and Galloway
- Retrospective funding applications
- General fundraising appeals
- Political activities or organizations
- Public Sector bodies
- Private Companies and organizations
- Religious activities or organizations
- The applicant organization must be based in Dumfries and Galloway
- Beneficiaries must live in Dumfries and Galloway
