The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is pleased to launch the annual reopening of the roster of civil society organizations and non-governmental organizations active in Mali.
The CPD aims to contribute to the advent of a peaceful and resilient Malian society where citizens regain confidence in their institutions, live in an environment of peace, justice and a fair judicial system, are resilient to crises and benefit from the fruits of inclusive growth.
Priorities Area
- It revolves around the following 3 priorities:
- Priority 1: Inclusive governance and peacebuilding
- Priority 2: Inclusive Growth and Promotion of the Private Sector
- Priority 3: Environmental sustainability and resilience to the adverse effects of climate change
In order to facilitate and accelerate the implementation of its program, UNDP set up in 2020 a database (Roster) of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) active throughout the country. territory of Mali, in connection with the relevant sectors of its intervention for offers of collaboration.
UNDP Mali Priority Themes
- Thematic areas in which UNDP Mali may need to partner with national and/or international NGOs/CSOs may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Inclusive governance and peace building
- Capacity building of public institutions and modernization of the State)
- Strengthening the rule of law, access to justice and human rights;
- Fight against discrimination, gender-based violence and the promotion of gender equality;
- Strengthening the capacities of institutions to develop and implement programs and policies to combat gender-based violence (GBV)
- Fight against corruption;
- Citizen control, monitoring and surveillance of the actions of state actors, particularly in the sectors of security, justice, corruption, the provision of public services;
- Peacebuilding, reconciliation and conflict management;
- Prevention of Violent Extremism;
- Strengthening/credibility of electoral processes;
- Strengthening of the decentralization process; Citizen Participation/Accountability/Civic Education
- Inclusive Growth and Private Sector Promotion
- Capacity building of the national statistical system and establishment of disaggregated databases (gender and regional dimensions);
- Strengthening the strategic capacities of national and local institutions (planning, gender-sensitive budgeting, implementation and monitoring-evaluation) to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
- Development of inclusive public-private partnerships;
- Strengthening the capacities of vulnerable populations, in particular women and young people, in particular to access financial and non-financial assets;
- Creation of sustainable jobs;
- Promotion of female leadership
- Environmental sustainability and resilience to the adverse effects of climate change
- Capacity building for risk prevention and adaptation to climate change;
- Sustainable management of natural resources through conflict prevention, risk management and pollution control;
- Finding solutions for access to clean, affordable and sustainable energy;
- Search for financing and innovative solutions;
- Inclusive governance and peace building
Criteria
- Interested CSOs/NGOs are requested to complete the questionnaires, and attach all supporting documents if expressly requested. If your CSO/NGO is an International Organization, please provide information and documentation relating to permits and approvals that authorize your local presence in the country.
- Please note that attachments must be provided to substantiate each answer to the questions. All questions must be answered directly and clearly. Inaccurate information that does not directly answer the questions will only limit UNDP’s ability to positively assess the CSO/NGO’s compliance with UNDP requirements.
