Applications are now open for the LGBTIQA+ Leadership Grant Stream to access leadership and professional development opportunities.
This funding will be available to LGBTIQA+ leaders who do not have organisational support or financial capacity to access those opportunities.
This small grant is meant to cover costs such as travel, accommodation and registration fees. In some cases, the funding is only a contribution towards the total cost of an opportunity.
Aims
- The program aims to achieve:
- improved understanding of LGBTIQA+ experiences
- improved wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ people
- increased participation of LGBTIQA+ communities
- increased capacity and leadership.
Funding Information
- Depending on the location of your opportunity you can apply for up to:
- $650 in the ACT
- $1,000 in NSW
- $1,500 elsewhere in Australia.
Eligible Projects
- Types of projects that can be funded
- Participation in conferences.
- Participation in training.
- Mentorship.
- Other professional development opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals residing in the ACT and the surrounding region with no organisational support can apply for a grant.
- You will need consent from your parent or guardian to apply if you are under 18 years old.
- The grant is for new and established LGBTIQA+ community leaders.
