The National Indigenous Australians Agency is inviting eligible applicants to submit applications for the 2020 NAIDOC Local Grants funding round under the Indigenous Advancement Strategy (IAS).
The 2020 NAIDOC Local Grants funding round aims to support activities being held during NAIDOC Week 2020 (8-15 November) that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, achievements, and continuing contributions to our country and society.
This grant round provides funding to organizations to contribute to the costs of local and regional NAIDOC activities across Australia.
Theme
The 2020 National NAIDOC Week theme, “Always was, Always will be” recognizes that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years.
Funding Information
- Total Amount Available (AUD): $1,400,000.00
- Estimated Grant Value (AUD): From $200.00 to $50,000.00
Eligibility Criteria
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non Indigenous legal entities may apply for NAIDOC funding. Where both Indigenous and non Indigenous organizations are found equally suitable, preference will generally be given to the Indigenous organization.
- Organizations that had submitted an application for the NAIDOC Local Grants Round that closed in March 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions will need to submit a new application. They will be provided with a reference copy of their application within a week of the round opening.
