Applications open for Sweden-Latvia Cooperation Fund Program to support projects which stimulate the development of the bilateral relations between the countries.
The purpose is to strengthen, broaden, renew, and diversify the Swedish-Latvian relationships.
Focus area
- Exchange and cooperation for network building between young people to promote social cohesion, creativity, and formation of new enterprises. Of course, this does not exclude people of higher age – but building networks for young people is prioritized.
Duration
- Project Period: You can only apply for funding for activities that take place after you have submitted your application. The project must be finalized within one year from the start date.
Eligibility Criteria
- Anyone can apply to the Sweden – Latvia Cooperation Fund – individuals, working groups associations, organisations, companies, etc. Swedish or Latvian citizenship is not a requirement, but you must reside in either of the countries.
- Project Grants – Criteria
- Joint development in both Latvia and Sweden or a clear plan for a Swedish-Latvian partnership.
- Newly established cooperation between organizations and individuals, in a starting phase of working together.
- Organizations and individuals who have previously received the foundations travel or media grant can apply for a project grant to further develop their bilateral cooperation (a grant is not guaranteed).
- Applicants can only apply for activities that take place after funding from the Fund. The project must be finalized within one year from the start date and reported no later than one month after the finalization.
- Travel Grants – Criteria
- A travel grant can be applied for for various purposes:
- Meeting a possible partner to draft a project plan with the potential to become a larger cooperation project.
- Research
- Participation in conferences, meetings, and workshops
- Cooperation with a Swedish/Latvian colleague.
- Media Grants – Criteria
- The purpose is to vitalize, broaden and renew the interest in Sweden/Latvia in the respective country.
- Media grants can also be applied for by people/ organizations who have received a project grant to support their project and make it more visible.
- Applicants can be both employed and free-lancers.
- The articles/works can be published in newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, podcasts, web-TV, and larger blogs.
Ineligibility Criteria
- They do not fund:
- Readymade projects
- School trips, study visits and studies
- Participation in events, eg sporting events, exhibitions etc.
