The Rural Action Derbyshire is seeking applications for its Digital Inclusion Small Grants Scheme to support voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise groups delivering digital inclusion projects across Derbyshire.
The grants are designed to assist local providers of digital inclusion support across Derbyshire, enabling more residents to become digitally included, connected, and confident.
Priorities
- The DSD Governance Panel are currently looking for groups and services that would meet the following priorities:
- Enabling and supporting people to develop their digital health skills e.g. the NHS Health App.
- Provide 1-1 digital support, either within a project or in someone’s home.
- Increase the numbers of Digital Champions (someone who helps people in the community to develop their skills and confidence online) in Derbyshire.
- Reducing social isolation caused by digital exclusion.
- Cover geographical areas where there are currently gaps in existing digital inclusion support in Derbyshire.
- Developing relevant resources for the Network and network members.
- Delivering training that may increase digital inclusion for residents and/or train Digital Champions.
Funding Information
- The grant pot totals £50,000 until March 2026, with applications ranging from £2,000 to £5,000.
Eligible Activities
- New services or activities that meet the priorities. This could include DSD Small Grants projects extending their service by adding a new digital inclusion activity.
- Existing services that meet the priorities. This could include DSD Small Grants recipients who wish to continue after their current agreed end date.
- Services that expand on their existing digital support capacity to reach digitally excluded areas in Derbyshire.
- Revenue costs associated with delivering your project. Including salaries, rent, and training for increased capacity or expansion projects.
- Reasonable capital costs (quotes required).
Ineligible Activities
- They will not accept applications from groups/organisations that are:
- Trading for profit, statutory services, or intending to redistribute grant awards.
- Promoting a particular political party or religious belief.
- Running activities outside Derbyshire or not aligned with the DSD Grants Programme priorities.
- Seeking devices and equipment available through the Device Refurbishing Project.
Eligibility Criteria
- To apply, your organisation must be:
- A voluntary, community, faith, or social enterprise group with a written constitution.
- Based or working in Derbyshire and a DSD Member.
