The Administration for Community Living is pleased to announce applications for Grants to Enhance State Adult Protective Services.
The purpose of ACL’s Grants to Enhance State Adult Protective Services (EJSG) is to strengthen and enhance state APS systems by promoting innovations and improvements in state APS practices, services, and data collection that are consistent with ACL’s mission and incorporate a consumer-directed approach.
For this opportunity, ACL invites applications that seek to achieve:
- Improvements in the capacity of APS to serve and assist clients impacted by the opioid crisis, and;
- Improvements in the state’s ability to document and report to the National Adult Maltreatment Reporting System (NAMRS) case, client, and perpetrator data for opioid-related APS cases.

- Estimated Total Funding: $ 2,000,000
- Expected Number of Awards: 3
- Award Ceiling: $ 1,000,000 Per Project Period
- Award Floor: $ 250,000 Per Project Period
- Length of Project Period: 24-month project period with two 12-month budget periods.

- State governments
- Applications are sought from the state government offices that administer and/or have oversight of the state’s adult protective services and/or elder protective services program.
