Deadline: 9 June 2017
The Sustainable Intensification Research Network (SIRN) is seeking applications for its exchange grants with an aim to increase collaboration between multidisciplinary research groups by offering the opportunity of short exchanges between academic groups.
These visits aim to foster collaboration, sharing new techniques and infrastructure that may not be available in other participants’ institutions or laboratories.
The grant will cover travel, accommodation and subsistence costs only. Once an award has been offered to a named research it cannot be transferred to another.
- Researchers are invited to apply to 1 to 2-weeks exchange placement to bring novel ideas to their research.
- SIRN particularly welcome applications from early and middle-career researchers and have the right to work in the UK.
- Applicants should be responsible to make initial contacts and secure hosting organization. If selected, they are also committing to report their experience to the wider SIRN community either by writing a blog, thinking-piece or giving a presentation at SIRN Annual Conference.
- Applications will be assessed according to the academic credibility of the proposal and the research environment and planned programme of activities.
