Applicants are now invited to submit applications for the 2020 Women & Change grant program to create an empowering community for women to experience giving with impact.
Funding Information
- The 2020 Women & Change grant round will provide one grant of up to $50,000 to a registered Australian charity that supports those people in Queensland community who are most disadvantaged.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications are open to charitable organisations that:
- have BOTH Deductible Gift Recipient 1 (DGR1) and Tax Concessional Charity status (TCC), from the Australian Taxation Office.
- propose projects that are Queensland-based, with all grant funds going to help Queenslanders experiencing social disadvantage and in need of support.
- are based anywhere in Australia (with all funds to be spent in Queensland). N.B. Only charities that meet the above criteria are eligible to apply.
- The project must be completed 12 months from when you receive the funding (30th November 2021).
- The successful applicant must provide progress reports at six months and a final report at 12 months. Outcomes must be shared with the members of Women & Change, who have made this grant possible.
- Applicants can apply for part funding of a larger project, so long as they have the balance of funds confirmed and the project is ready to start as soon as the grant is received.
- Women & Change will consider applications for any demonstrable need, including operational, infrastructure or capacity-building support, where it is clear that philanthropic funding will make a tangible and measureable difference to the quality of life of the individuals and communities involved.
- Eligible Organisations are welcome to submit up to three applications for different projects. Please ensure that each project meets the guidelines. A separate application form must be submitted for each project.
- Members are most interested in projects that address unmet needs and/or offer unique solutions to social challenges.
Preference
- Preference will be given to applicants whose projects will produce positive social outcomes for Queenslanders living in disadvantage; are well defined and identify a specific community need. Applicants must provide concrete information about their organisation’s strategies, budget, project outcomes and details of how they will evaluate the project’s implementation and outcomes.
Exclusions
- Grants will not be awarded to or for: individuals; political parties; government entities; commercial sponsorships; religious groups (except for projects that support a nonreligious purpose); retrospective requests; debt retirement, budget deficits, endowments or bequest programs; or general fundraising appeals.
