The Arab Foundation for Freedoms and Equality has opened its call for proposals for small grants to support Gender and Bodily Rights Groups in Egypt.

- Project Length: 12 months
Eligible Activities
- Activities that focus on security, safety and emergency, Projects / activities that support creating safe spaces and support groups online and offline, Projects / activities that build communities and campaigning.
Eligibility Criteria
- Budget must adhere to grant guidelines (10,000 USD);
- Proposed project must be relevant to the theme of the call (Activities that focus on security, safety and emergency, Projects/ activities that support creating safe spaces and support groups online and offline, Projects/ activities that build communities and campaigning);
- Project must be implemented in relevant geographical area (Egypt);
- Project timeline must adhere to grant guidelines (12 months);
- Applicant must NOT be an AFE staff member or relative;
- Applicant must NOT have received two consecutive competitive grants from AFE;
- Applicant must NOT have an ongoing grant with AFE;
- Cost estimation in budget breakdown must be realistic;
- Indirect costs must not exceed 20% of total grant budget (2,000 USD);
- Budget items must be clear with notes explaining unclear items where necessary;
- Budget must be prepared in USD;
- Shortlisted applicants must further engage in the participatory selection procedures.
