The Art of Inspiring Communities is seeking applications for the Skills Development Grants Program.
Grants are available to assist groups and individuals to participate in workshops, attend activities that are a skills development opportunity, or extend or advance knowledge and skills, understanding, participation or development of arts and culture.
Funding may:
- provide opportunities for the development of skills through workshops run by professional artists, including as part of a local festival or celebration
- provide assistance with travel and accommodation costs incurred in participating in residencies, workshops, conferences or seminars for individuals or groups
- provide opportunities for the development of project ideas and concepts by supporting costs associated with the short term visit by an artist (s) or guest speaker to assist community groups in the development stage of a major arts project, including as part of a local festival or celebration
Funding Information
Amount: Successful Skills Development grants – up to $3,000
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals (16 years and over), community groups or organisations who reside in regional South Australia are eligible to apply.
Projects should:
- provide opportunities for the development of skills of locally based artists, arts workers, community groups or individuals
- be initiated within the community and actively involve local people
- involve a professional artist where appropriate whose practice is suitable for your proposal
