The Maine Arts Commission is seeking applications for the Arts and Humanities Grants Program to support organizations in Maine that present stories and cultural expressions of the state, its communities, and its people.
Projects can be in any discipline and on any scale but must include both arts and humanities aspects. The grant is co-administered by The Maine Arts Commission and the Maine Humanities Council.

Maximum Award: $1,000.
Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must have an active Maine Arts Commission account and current Vendor Code to receive funding. An organization is eligible to apply if it meets the following criteria at the time of application:
- The applicant is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service or is a unit of municipal, county or tribal government, legally established in the state of Maine.
- The applicant has a valid DUNS number.
- Is in compliance with Final Reports required by the Maine Arts Commission and the Maine Humanities Council for previous awards.
- An applicant has not already received an Arts & Humanities grant within this funding cycle.
- Applicant has discussed their project with a representative from the Maine Arts Commission and the Maine Humanities Council.
