The Community Enterprise Foundation’s 2022 Buloke Shire – Small Towns Big Difference Community Grant Program is now open to support the small communities within the Buloke Shire by providing investment that enables increased community pride and resilience.
The Small Towns Big Difference pilot program is the result of a partnership between the Buloke Shire Council, Department of Jobs, Precincts and Resources, Mallee Regional Partnership and Community Bank branches of Bendigo Bank in Charlton and Donald.
It will do so by investing in community-led initiatives and partnerships that create or enhance access to services and facilities and build more liveable communities.
Objectives
To be considered, each application must meet at least one of the following program objectives:
- To improve the amenity and liveability of small towns in the Buloke Shire.
- To improve access to & the quality of services & facilities for people living in the Buloke Shire.
- To build community capacity, skills and resilience of people living in the Buloke Shire.
- To attract visitors and new residents to towns in the Buloke Shire.
- To develop local solutions to local priorities identified by residents.
Funding Information
- The Small Towns Big Difference pilot program has a total funding pool of $120,000 and priority will be given to projects that are considered ‘shovel ‘ready.
- Grants of $2,000 – $10,000 are available to applicants, with a larger amount available for an exceptional project of regional significance (to a maximum of $50,000).
Eligibility Criteria
- The funding program is open to organisations located and operating in the Buloke Shire.
- Organisations are required to be Not-for-Profit non-government entities that hold a current valid ABN. If the applicant does not meet these criteria, they must partner with a project partner/auspice organisation that does.
- The project partner/auspice organisation must confirm that they support the project, will receive grant funding on behalf of the applicant, apply those funds to the project, fulfil reporting requirements and confirm how they are adding value to the project.
