The City of Charles Sturt is inviting applications to support local Artists and Arts organisations to develop new one off or time limited creative projects that encourage public engagement in the Arts.
Funding Information
- Up to $5,000 (plus GST).
- Funding is limited to one grant per applicant per financial year.
- Funding should be reflective of costs & what you want to achieve, as per your budget.
Eligible Activities
- Artist fees related to the funded activity
- Materials required to deliver the funded activity, program or initiative
- Marketing and promotion of the funded activity.
Project Outcomes
Projects and initiatives can contribute to one or more of the following outcomes:
- Public art (ephemeral, temporary or semi-permanent) that enhance their public spaces.
- New creative programming and service delivery that support the development and preservation of their arts and cultural venues.
- Capitalise on the strengths, assets and inspiration of their local Arts community and provide employment opportunities for local artists to support their creative economy.
- Opportunities for their community to experience diverse artforms and engage in hands on arts and cultural experiences with professional artists.
- Explore collaborative solutions to build resilience of their local creative and performing arts sector.
- Increase community access to the Arts.
- Extend skills and experiences of local Artists.
Eligibility Criteria
In addition to the general program eligibility, applications are invited from artists and arts organisations based in the City of Charles Sturt to support the development and delivery of creative initiatives within their City.
- Artforms include:
- Public art (ephemeral, temporary or semi-permanent)
- Visual arts (ceramics, drawing, filmmaking, painting, photography & sculpting)
- Performing arts (dance and theatre)
- Moving image
- Literary arts (creative writing, poetry & prose)
- Interdisciplinary arts
- They encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Artists and from Artists with Disability.
