The Tasmanian Government is seeking applications for Improving the Playing Field Grants Program.
The Tasmanian Government recognises the importance of sport and recreation and is committed to assisting the sector to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. This program will also assist in supporting the building and construction industry and local jobs.
Funding Information
- There is $10 million in funding available under this program in 2021-22. Applicants can apply for funding of between $25 000 and $500 000 per project.
- Grants of $50 001 up to $500 000 will be provided through the large grants stream.
Eligibility Criteria
- Local councils and sporting organisations are eligible for funding under this Grants Program. Sporting organisations will need to demonstrate the priority of their project to their relevant State sporting organisation and local government.
- Applicants must be:
- Incorporated, not-for-profit organisations;
- Local government authorities (councils); or
- Not-for-profit companies registered under company law
Ineligible
The following organisations are ineligible for funding under this program:
- Educational institutions, including parents and friends’ associations;
- Private or commercial enterprises registered under company law;
- State and Australian Government organisations; and
- Organisations with overdue reporting obligations from a previous Communities, Sport and Recreation (CSR) grant. If an organisation has received a CSR grant for a project that has not yet been completed, it is eligible to apply for funding for a different project.
