The Tasmanian Gas Pipeline is inviting applications for Community Grants Program to support projects and initatives which will benefit communtiies of Circular Head, Waratah-Wynyard, Burnie, Central Coast, Devonport, Latrobe, Kentish, Meander Valley, Launceston, West Tamar, George Town, Northern Midlands, Southern Midlands & Brighton.
This Community Grants Program is administered by Community Enterprise Foundation and made possible by the generous support of the Tasmanian Gas Pipeline Pty Ltd.
Focus Areas
- Contributing to at least one of the following areas:
- Community Diversity: Support for projects that encourage communities to connect and be inclusive of gender, cultures, age groups, nationalities and abilities. This includes events that celebrate culture and traditions, projects that aim to improve multicultural infrastructure, provide support for disadvantaged groups, achieve gender equality, or initiatives that seek to address social isolation and improve access and opportunity for everyone.
- Sustainability and Environment: Support for projects that seek to build or enhance community sustainability or the local environment, in particular through the use of renewables, the reduction of waste or via protection of the environment. This includes solar panel installation, recycling at events, school education programs, community gardens and environmental preservation programs.
- Health and Wellbeing: Support for projects that seek to improve the health and wellbeing of the local community. This may include physical or mental health programs, initiatives that aim to improve sports participation and access, sporting facility upgrades and education programs.
- Community Participation and Pride: Support for projects that encourage greater community participation and/or seek to recognise and celebrate the unique attributes of the region. This includes community volunteering initiatives, playground / public space enhancements, community festivals and events and local heritage preservation.
Funding Information
- Funding Pool Available: $25,000 (Grants up to $5,000).
Eligibility Criteria
- Charitable and Not-for-profit Organisations can apply for projects and activities that offer clear public benefit for the community.
- To be considered, each application must include the following supporting documentation:
- Financials
- Current signed Audited Financial Statements for the Applicant organisation and Project Partner(where applicable).
- If your organisation is not required to audit your financials please provide a profit and loss statement as a minimum and a balance sheet if available.Please also include a current bank statement.
- Quotes
- Quotes are required for all budget items
- If you have conducted this project/program before copies of receipts / invoices that substantiate this request from previous expenditure may be acceptable together with a detailed budget
- If your expenditure outlined in the budget relates to wages or salary for staff, please upload a copy of the Position Description and the Award Wage it corresponds with.
