Deadline: 16-Aug-21
The Bernicia Foundation is seeking applications for its Inclusion Grant Programme from Constituted voluntary or community organisations.
They believe the North East is a great place to live, work and visit, but unfortunately, there are some people who struggle to find opportunities.
No matter what age, ability or background, they want to help people find the right path.
Their Inclusion Grant Programme supports initiatives that encourage:
- Social inclusion
- Reducing isolation and loneliness
- Promoting independence
- Building citizenship, confidence and aspiration
- Economic inclusion
- Removing barriers to employment, training and volunteering
- Reducing child poverty
- Tackling Fuel Poverty
- Improving financial wellbeing.
Funding Information
- The Bernicia Foundation tends to give grants between £5,000 and £10,000 – although they will consider amounts outside these guidelines where they demonstrate significant community value.

Additional Information
When applying for their Inclusion and Inspiration Grant Programmes, please bear in mind:
- Priority will be given to applications that are client-led, show how their work meets funding priority aims, and/or how it inspires others.
- As long as it is clearly demonstrated that it supports their Inclusion and Inspiration Grant Programmes, you can apply for a specific project or for a contribution to core running costs.
- They will fund core costs for eligible organisations to help them recover from the impact of Covid-19.
- Social enterprises like CICs are not eligible for day to day core cost funding.
- If it supports their inclusion and inspiration objectives, they will consider purchasing small items of equipment like furniture and computers. Requests for larger capital funding will be considered, but must be backed up by a robust business case.
