Applications are invited for Bettys and Taylors Family Fund to support groups working to improve the lives of local children and young people through food, and is open to applicants across the whole of Yorkshire.
The Bettys and Taylors family heritage is very much rooted in food and hospitality. The legacy of their founder and his early experiences in life are central to where Bettys and Taylors are now. Frederick had a very difficult start to his life. Despite this, he was able to gain skills and experience which changed his life and his fortune. With food key to their business, they want to support food-based projects in Yorkshire.
Priorities
Priority will be given to projects that:
- Have food at the heart of their project; and
- Actively engage children and young people; and
- Support children and young people affected by disadvantage.
Funding Information
- Grants are available of between £500 and £4,000 for community groups, small charities and schools based throughout Yorkshire that want to undertake a food-related project to improve the lives of children and young people in their area.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications will be accepted from: –
- constituted voluntary and community groups
- registered charities
- co-operatives
- social enterprises
- community interest companies (CIC’s will be subject to additional scrutiny as outlined in their grant making policy)
- parish councils (provided that the purpose of the grant falls outside of the councils’ usual remit)
- schools (provided that the purpose of the grant falls outside of the schools’ usual curricular activities; the income turnover limit does not apply in this case)
