Applications are now open for the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation’s 2020 Grant Program.
The Mission of the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation is the administration of grants primarily in the areas of music, the arts, and education while also supporting social work, environmental protection, and spiritual and compassionate projects in the community.
The Foundation also organizes and implements education and outreach programs, exhibitions, and other events and projects in like areas that carry Bill Graham’s life story forward and keep his spirit of philanthropy alive.
The Bill Graham Memorial Foundation was formed in January of 2008 in memory of the legendary rock impresario, Bill Graham. The foundation is a public charity that is funded through individual and corporate contributions and grants.
The Foundation is guided by a broad-based group that includes Bill’s sons, several former long-time employees of Bill Graham Presents, and other community leaders.
Funding Information
- The majority of the grants given by the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation are in the range of $2000 – $3000 and have a maximum cap of $5000 for a single grant.
Funding Areas
- The Foundation is currently offering grants for programs/projects of grassroots organizations working in the areas of music, the arts, and education.
- They also fund social work, environmental protection, and spiritual & compassionate projects in their community.
- They seek to assist those whose needs are not served by larger philanthropic organizations.
Geographic Area
- Their geographic scope is primarily but not absolutely limited to the Bay Area and Northern California.
