The Bohemian Foundation is inviting applications for the Pharos Fund to provide a beacon of inspiration that guide them in their grantmaking and reminds them to light the way toward creative, innovative ideas and solutions in the community.
Bohemian Foundation is a private family foundation that supports local, national, and global efforts to build strong communities. It is founded in 2001 by philanthropist Pat Stryker, Bohemian Foundation takes its name and inspiration from the bohemian movement of 19th century Europe. The foundation’ four program areas are Community, Music, Global, and Civic and in each of these areas, it work to empower citizens and impact communities through our grantmaking,
Pharos Fund, this name is inspired by the Great Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, built on the island of Pharos near Egypt. Since its inception in 2001, they have awarded $20,386,690 in Pharos Fund grants. A committee of Bohemian Foundation board members, Bohemian Foundation staff, and community members selects grantees through a twice-yearly competitive application process. Pharos Fund is aligned with the foundation’s Community Programs goals while being responsive to the needs and ideas of local nonprofits.

The Bohemian Foundation is looking for:
Pharos Fund is a responsive, competitive grant program. Grant applications are accepted two times per year, in the spring and fall.
- Strong proposals will address the following priorities:

- Impact
- Stakeholder support
- Alignment with Bohemian Foundation’s principles
- Eligible applicants from 501(c)(3) organizations and government units serving the Fort Collins area.
- Applicants must provide services within Poudre School District boundary.
- Organizations may only submit one application per grant round. (For governmental units, Poudre School District and Colorado State University applicants, one applicant per school or department is allowable.)
