The Bristol City Council is inviting applications for the Bristol Climate and Ecological Emergency Community Grant program to support community action that helps reach the goals of the One City Climate Strategy or the One City Ecological Emergency Strategy.
Funding Information
- There is £200,000 available in total.
- The funding available will be awarded over 1 year in 2 calls for applications.
- The first call for applications will award grants of up to £5,000
- The second call for applications will award grants of both up to £5,000 and up to £30,000.
What can you apply for?
The fund supports activities based in Bristol that will help the city to meet one or more of the goals of the One City Climate Strategy or the One City Ecological Emergency Strategy.
- A main goal of the One City Climate Strategy is to reduce Bristol’s carbon dioxide emissions
- A main goal of the One City Ecological Emergency Strategy is to have more land in Bristol managed for the benefit of wildlife.
Eligibility Criteria
- The grant programme is targeted at community groups or small not-for-profit organisations based and working in Bristol.
- Applicants must have a track record of working to benefit the community or the environment. The grant programme will not support newly formed organisations less than 6 months old.
