British Embassy Manila is seeking proposals that support the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and improving the lives of people with disabilities.
Objectives
The British Embassy Manila is seeking proposal which supports the following objectives:
- Empower people with disabilities and strengthen their active inclusion and full participation in the society
- Strengthen the capacity and leadership of civil society organizations run by and for people with disabilities
- Assist persons with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment or self-employment to increase their economic participation and independence
Funding Information
- All bids should be in pounds sterling (GBP). Bidders are strongly advised to limit their proposals within the indicative funding brackets: £5,000
- Successful applicants will implement their project until 28 February 2022. All payment requests and reporting should be finalised by 15 March 2022. You are advised to plan project activities accordingly.
Exemptions
The Embassy regrets that they are unable to fund:
- academic courses;
- charitable activities;
- commercial activities; or
- infrastructure or construction projects.
Assessment Criteria
The aim of the project should be concise, feasible and sustainable. The expected outcomes should be measurable and the target group should be clearly defined and involved in project implementation.
The assessment criteria will include the following:
- Financial and operational capacity;
- Relevance;
- Methodology;
- Sustainability;
- Value for money; and
- Impact.
