The Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP) is pleased to announce a grant opportunity for organizations to “promote and support initiatives that are incubators of innovation, inclusive, scalable, and replicable, and foster multi-stakeholder partnerships at the local level to address global environmental issues in priority landscapes and seascapes.”
This grant aims to support initiatives that align with the GEF SGP’s 7th Operational Phase (OP7) goals.
Scope of Work
- Organizing a national event
- Delivering specific communications materials
Funding Information
- The Capacity Development and Communications Project Grant, valued at USD 30,000.
Who can apply?
- Any civil society organization/community-based group registered as a non-profit by a Government Ministry or by the Local Government Authority.
- Also, eligible to apply are local communications companies that have experience. And passion in promoting environment conservation, sustainable development, or community projects. An added advantage is to those groups or organisations that have previously worked in the field of knowledge management or communications consultancies for environment organisations.
