The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria through the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tunisia has launched a procedure for accepting and selecting proposals for projects to be implemented with grants under the official development assistance of the Republic of Bulgaria starting in 2023 year.
Objectives
- Repair, reconstruction or equipment of state or municipal educational or health infrastructure
- Organizing courses for raising the qualification of the employees of the state and local administration
- Educational projects for environmental protection
Priorities
The priority areas and directions for the implementation of projects on the territory of Tunisia are:
- Support in the field of education and improvement of the educational infrastructure
- Providing quality and inclusive education
- Support in the field of healthcare and improvement of the health infrastructure
- Providing quality medical services
Funding Infromation
- The minimum allowable value of a project is BGN 5,000.
- The recommended maximum value of a project is:
- for projects whose main purpose is the supply of goods and / or provision of services – up to BGN 40,000;
- for projects whose main purpose is to carry out repair and / or construction activities – up to BGN 40,000.
- The co-financing of project activities provided by the applicant will be considered as an advantage in the evaluation, selection and approval of projects

Activities that can be funded
- Development of new / modernization of existing training modules
- Organizing and conducting trainings for the employees of the administration
- Conducting trainings on specific topics in Bulgarian institutions for exchange of good practices and raising the qualification of the employees of the administration of the partner country
- Organizing and conducting seminars, forums, conferences (subject to pandemic measures from COVID– 19)
- Development of research and strategies
- Activities to improve the dialogue between NGOs and local, regional and national authorities
- Delivery of equipment and materials intended for state or municipal property – schools, hospitals, kindergartens, nursing homes, etc
- Construction works to improve state or municipal property – schools, hospitals, kindergartens, nursing homes, etc
