The EEA and Norway Grants have launched the Call for proposals under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 Programme to boost competitiveness of Lithuanian enterprises within Green Industry Innovation, including bio economy, focus area.
The program aims to contribute to a higher added value and sustainable economic growth, as well as to boost competitiveness of Lithuanian companies, focusing primarily on very small, small and medium-sized business (SMEs). Strengthening bilateral cooperation between Lithuanian and Norwegian companies lies at the core of the programme.
Objective: To boost competitiveness of Lithuanian enterprises within Green Industry Innovation, including bio economy, focus area.
Funding Information
- The total available amount for financing of projects under the Call is € 3 734 801 (€3 174 581 – Norway Grants contribution, € 560 220 – co-financing from Lithuanian budget).
- Duration of a project shall not be longer than 18 months from the date a project contract is signed.
Eligible Activities
Application of new products/ technologies. Funding will be provided for introduction (application) of new technological solutions that would help, for example, to modernize production lines, shift to zero-waste manufacturing, enable re-use of waste or implement other circular economy principles at the same time reducing CO2 emissions or energy consumption in Lithuanian entities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants are SMEs established as a legal person in Lithuania;
- Eligible partneris are any public or private legal entity, commercial or non-commercial, and, non-governmental organisations, established as a legal person in Lithuania or Norway.
- Partnership is not compulsory, which means that projects can be implemented without any partners. Nevertheless, bilateral projects are highly encouraged, and projects implemented together with a partner(s) from Norway will score additional points during assessment of an application.
