The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin (CFONCW) has announced a call for proposals for the Community Enhancement Grants Program to provide grants for projects and programs that have a tangible effect on enriching life in Marathon County.
The Foundation is looking for:
In awarding Community Enhancement Grants, the Distributions Committee favors innovative proposals that:
- Enhance the vibrancy and livability of the greater Wausau area and Marathon County.
- Apply the Community Foundation’s resources where they will be used wisely to make a long-term, tangible difference in meeting a specific community need.
- Demonstrate community impact and outreach.
- Reduce service duplication and promote agency collaboration.
Funding Information
Grant Range: $1,000 to $100,000 depending on the scope of the project.
Eligibility Criteria
- Does your project or program directly enhance the quality of life in the greater Wausau area or other communities within Marathon County?
- Are you a charitable 501(c)(3) organization? (not necessary, but preferred)
- Will your project make a long-term, tangible difference in meeting a specific community need?
- They do not fund annual funding campaigns, operating expenses or losses, debt retirement, endowments, direct support for individuals, lobbying efforts, or sectarian causes. Does your proposal fall into any of these categories?
