The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARN), with support from the World Food Programme (WFP), is implementing the project “Strengthening the Adaptive Capacities of Climate-Vulnerable Communities in the Goascorán River Basin in El Salvador and Honduras through Integrated Community-Based Adaptation Practices and Services.”
This project integrates various ecosystem-based adaptation strategies, climate risk management, access to financial services, and access to climate information for decision-making in local livelihoods. The project’s main objective is to strengthen the adaptive capacities of climate-vulnerable populations located in the Goascorán River Basin in El Salvador and Honduras by promoting integrated community-based adaptation practices and services.
