The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lusaka has opened a call for proposals for local small scale projects to be implemented in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi in 2023.
Funding Information
- Czech development cooperation financial contribution for each project is between CZK 200,000 – 500,000. Based on the recent exchange rate development and with the view of having a margin in order not to exceed the maximum budget in CZK, they advise you to use the following exchange rates to calculate the costs in CZK:
- 1 ZMW = 1.7 CZK; 100 MWK = 3.0 CZK; (1 USD = 26 CZK)
- The expenses will be reimbursed by the embassy after submission of originals of invoices/receipts (no advance payments will be granted).
- The project has to be implemented after the signature of the contract for implementation (which usually occurs around March) by end of October 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- The filled-in application form must be accompanied by a proof of legal subjectivity of the organization (proof or registration) and also evidence that the person submitting the proposal is authorized to act on behalf of the organization.
- Please note:
- The project proposals should correspond with the development priorities of the country.
- Funds are allocated to non-political and non-governmental entities only.
Criteria
The three documents (duly filled-in application form, proof of legal subjectivity and evidence that the person submitting the proposal is authorized to act on behalf of the organization) must be delivered to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lusaka (4 Twin Palm Rd, Kabulonga) both as originals and as scanned copies.
