In partnership with the Croatian Office for Cooperation with NGOs of the government of the Republic of Croatia, the French embassy in Croatia launches a call for proposals to promote French-Croatian partnerships among civil society organisations.
Objective
- The call is designed to encourage the development of joint projects between Croatian and French civil society organisations.
Priorities
- Priority will be given to projects dealing with one or several of the following topics:
- Gender equality and the fight against any type of gender-based discrimination:
- Promotion of gender equality in the access to employment, work-life balance, family protection issues (including domestic violence and violence against women), access to education, political representation and participation;
- Fight against sexual orientation-based discrimination.
- Reconciliation and promotion of tolerance:
- support intercultural and interethnic dialogue initiatives in the Croatian society at local, regional and national levels to enhance peaceful cohabitation and promote reconciliation;
- Encourage activities and exchanges of experiences to spread civic values and promote mutual trust and respect among individuals and between various social groups.
- Protection of the environment and the fight against climate change:
- protect marine and terrestrial biodiversity, promoting sustainable waste management, circular and social economy;
- promotion of energy transition, adaptation and climate change mitigation through innovation;
- Raise public awareness on environmental protection and unfold educational activities pursuing widespread lifestyle changes.
- Media literacy and fight against disinformation:
- Educate the youth and the general public to identify fake news and exert critical thinking;
- Promote informed use of social media.
- Gender equality and the fight against any type of gender-based discrimination:
Funding Information
- The maximum amount that can be awarded to a project is 3.000 EUR, covering up to 70% of the total provisional amount. A minimum of 30% of co-financing is hence expected from the Croatian partner(s).
- Duration: The maximum duration for the project is 12 months. Projects should start in 2024 and be completed by June 2025. Activities occurring prior to May 2024 cannot be funded.
What types of activities can be supported?
- Organisation of conferences, roundtables, workshops and seminars involving French expertise;
- Activities oriented towards children and youth in the framework of cross-curricular subjects (on civic education, media literacy, etc.);
- Organisation of study visits to France;
- Awareness raising, citizen mobilisation and advocacy activities;
- Joint publications, training sessions, etc.
- Profit making activities are not eligible.
Who can apply?
- The lead Applicant must be a non-profit civil society organisation registered in the Croatian Register of Non-profit Organisations (RNO) for at least 12 months. The Applicant must have a transparent financial reporting (consultable in the RNO).
- All projects must include a French component (partnering organisation or invited expert), identified before the application. Name of that partner or organisation should appear in the application form.
