Applications are now open for the Latino Community Foundation’s (LCF) THE LATINO POWER FUND that aims to Mobilize the Latino Community for an Equitable Recovery. The Foundation is on a mission to unleash the civic and economic power of Latinos in California.
LCF fulfills this mission by building a movement of civically engaged philanthropists, investing in Latino-led organizations, and increasing the political participation of Latinos in California.
The following are examples of the potential use of ARPA dollars:
- Addressing the public health and economic impact of COVID-19
- Replacing lost revenue for state and local governments
- Premium pay for essential workers
- Improving water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure
Funding Information
- Grant awards will range from $25,000 to $50,000, depending on the size, scope, and focus of the proposed activities. Investments will be made to both individual nonprofits and coalitions.
- Nonprofit organizations may apply as part of a coalition AND as an individual organization.
- For this first round, LCF will award up to $1,000,000 to 20-25 grassroots organizations working to educate, advocate, mobilize, and steward the equitable distribution and implementation of ARPA resources across the state.
Eligibility Criteria

To apply, organizations must answer yes to all the following questions:
- Are you a Latino-led nonprofit organization rooted in the Latino community in the state of California?
- Is your organization prioritizing the equitable distribution and implementation of ARPA resources?
- Are you a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization or fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization?
