The European Commission (EC) is accepting proposals to Support Education and Health Sectors.
Objectives
- The global objective of this call for proposals is to contribute to promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law worldwide.
- The specific objective of this call for proposals is to protect and empower the individuals, in particular the most vulnerable categories (women and girls, children and youth as well as persons with disabilities).
- The priority of this call for proposals is to protect and empower targeted individuals in the following areas:
- Education with special focus on people with disabilities
- Health: to respond to the basic necessities of health care
Funding Information
- The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is EUR 580,000.
- Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- minimum amount: EUR 200,000
- maximum amount: EUR 580,000
Duration
- The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 18 months nor exceed 36 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- be a legal person and
- be non-profit-making and
- be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation, public sector operator, local authority, international (inter-governmental) organisation as defined by Article 159(1) of the EU Financial Regulation and
- be effectively established in a Member State of the European Union or in the State of Eritrea. Due to the legal status of international organisations, the obligation of effective establishment in the referred countries does not apply to international organisations, where the latter are eligible, and
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary, and
- have at least 5 years’ experience working in Eritrea in one of the priority sectors and be acknowledged by the relevant sector Ministry.
