UNFPA is inviting proposals for Umbrella/Network based organisations & CSOs/ CBOs under the Gender Promotion Initiative 2.0.
The project is aimed at the promotion and protection of civic spaces for effective engagement of women-led and women-focused Community-based organisations in the implementation of Gambia National Action Plan on United Nations Security Resolution 1325 (UNSCR) and the recommendations of the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC) white paper through strengthening the institutional capacities of Civil Society Organizations.
Pillars
- The project is focusing on three pillars.
- Protection of the human rights of women and girls in situations of conflict and in peace support operations
- Participation of women in conflict prevention and resolution, peace and security, and processes.
- Prevention of violence against women and girls including sexual gender-based and conflict-related violence.
Eligibility Criteria
- UNFPA The Gambia can only accept one application form per organisation. You should choose to either apply as an Umbrella/ Network organisation OR a CSO/ CBO.
- You are invited to apply to be selected as a beneficiary civil society organisation (CSO/CBO) for the project by completing the above application template. Beneficiary civil society organisations (CSOs/CBOs) for this project are those organsations with physical and/or programmatic presence in WCR, URR and LRR.
- They are also inviting applications from Umbrella/ Network based organisations with National Presence and capacity to coordinate CSOs and CBOs.
