The City of Fredericton is now accepting applications for its 2023 Community Funding Grants and Strategic Partner Capital Grants.
Categories
- Community Funding Grants: The focus of the Community Funding Grants is to encourage the growth and stability of non-profit organizations in the City whose purpose and activities align to achieve the outcomes of a more livable and economically viable community.
- Strategic Partner Capital Grants: Strategic Partner Capital Grants are intended to encourage the growth and stability of strong, sustainable non-profit organizations whose purpose and services fit within the City’s municipal mandate.
Funding Information
- Community Funding Grants: The City’s Municipal Finance and Corporate Administration has approved, in principle, an amount of $319,000 for the 2023 Community Funding Grants, up $24,000 from 2022 to account for inflation.
- Strategic Partner Capital Grants: A total of $300,000 is also available to community groups under the 2023 Strategic Partner Capital Grants, from which City Council has already committed $150,000 in multi-year funding to the Beaverbrook Art Gallery Capital Campaign and University of New Brunswick.
Eligibility Criteria
- The grant must be applied to a specific program or service or used as capital funding for the construction of facilities or the purchase of equipment that will benefit to the community at large.
- Past applicants are reminded that successful applications received under any of the grant categories for the same purpose or event are only considered once and limited to one annual grant from the City of Fredericton.
