The Responsive Neighbourhood Small Grants program is here to help residents of any age, experience, or background take part in building community.
The program seeks to:
- Build community strength and resilience
- Foster community creativity and well being
- Alleviate social isolation
- Celebrate and honour diversity
The goal of the grant is to contribute to fees and expenses associated with your project such as liability insurance, materials, online platform costs and honorarium (s).
Small Grants support projects which:
- Share Skills: Teach others how to craft, build, or speak a new language. They all have something to offer
- Share Meaning: Invite people to celebrate or heal together
- Share Resources: Make someone’s day by delivering care packages or helping them get something they need
Funding Information
Neighbourhood Small Grant of up to $500.
Eligibility Criteria
- Anyone from the Salt Spring community is eligible to apply for a Neighbourhood Small Grant. These grants are for individuals or small groups who have an idea they want to bring to life. Registered charities are not eligible to apply for NSG.
- The Neighbourhood Small Grants Program helps individuals of any age, experience or background take part in building community!
