Deadline: 15-Feb-21
The Cambridge Community Foundation is accepting applications for the Community Fund Spring Cycle.
Cambridge is a world-class center for innovation and education, yet challenges like homelessness and hunger remain realities for far too many people. The Cambridge Community Foundation supports nonprofits that address these challenges and other needs as well as foster opportunities across the community.
The Cambridge Endowment is a pool of funds built by donors over a century. Income from these funds is pooled to make grants that ensure a vibrant, thriving, and inclusive Cambridge where everyone can enjoy opportunity and a good quality of life.
Recognizing their community is still dealing with the impacts of the pandemic and their nonprofits are struggling to find ways to best serve their communities, the Cambridge Community Foundation altered its grants process. The application includes a focus on the needs and challenges their nonprofit partners are facing given COVID-19.
- They want to know how our nonprofit partners are coping with the crisis, what services they are able to provide in these unprecedented times, and what challenges they foresee for the future.
- They require a report on the use of the funds at the end of the grant year — the outcomes can be organizational or programmatic.
- Nonprofits are permitted to apply for a CCF Community Fund grant once per year. If a nonprofit applied for a Community Fund grant in the fall cycle then it is not eligible to apply this spring.
Criteria
Available to eligible 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations or entities operating under the fiscal sponsorship of a tax-exempt nonprofit, that serve the people of Cambridge. Individuals are not eligible.
