The German Consulate General in Bengaluru provides direct assistance and quick relief for the least privileged members of society programme by improving their social and economic situation.
Funded by the German Federal Foreign Office these projects stand out with a short planning period and a quick and smooth implementation, in order to ensure an immediate and sustainable effect.
The projects address the basic and urgent needs of least privileged members of society, alongside the UN SDG (Sustainable Development Goals), and aim at achieving improved living conditions beyond the duration of the project.
The areas of activity are manifold: income generation through education and vocational training, protection of the environment, healthcare and sanitary equipment, water supply, energy supply, food security, etc.
Funding Information
- Requested funding should amount to approx. (but not exceeding) EUR 23 000 (depending on exchange rate around INR 20,50,000).
Duration
- Project duration: approx. 6 months, project must be fully completed before the end of the calendar year (31.12.)
Conditions
- The applicant organisation must be registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA)
- The project must be a distinct, full project in itself, not part of a bigger project.
- The project has not started yet.
- The project has to support least privileged members of society.
- The project has to promote gender equality.
- The applicant organisation and benefitting local population have to contribute to the project through workforce, overhead expenses like administration, travelling, transportation etc.
- The applicant organisation has to contribute an appropriate amount of own financial resources to the total project cost.
