The United Nations Development Programme has launched the call for proposals to empower Women Farmers in Armenia’s Horticulture Value Chain.
Objectives
- The proposed innovative and smart ideas and solutions should address all four objectives of this Call.
- Economic Empowerment: Increase income and economic independence for vulnerable women farmers through integration into the horticulture value chain.
- Capacity Building: Strengthen women’s skills in high-value crop production, processing, marketing, and financial management.
- Provision of Inputs and Assets: Supply essential agricultural inputs (e.g., seeds, tools, organic fertilizers) and productive assets (e.g., small-scale irrigation systems, home-based composting equipment, moto blocks, greenhouse materials) to enable effective participation in high-value horticulture.
- Market Linkages: Facilitate sustainable market access by connecting women farmers with successful SMEs and market platforms.

Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants
- Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Cooperatives, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and Foundations with innovative ideas and solutions aimed at economically empowering self-employed, vulnerable women in Armenia’s horticulture value chain from targeted regions for intervention – Vayots Dzor, Tavush, and Lori.
